On Thursday October 19th Mexican fashion designer and social entrepreneur Carla Fernández presented 5 new collections that coincides with the exhibition at the V&A in London – Frida Kahlo: Making Herself Up. L’Oréal Professionnel has worked closely with the Fashion in Motion events since their inception and invited lead stylist Johanna Cree-Brown and the Trevor Sorbie Artistic Team to create the hair looks for the show
Johanna explains: “The hair story was split into 5 sections to reflect each segment of show, all hair was created in the spirit of Frida Kahlo with middle partings and braids being the thread that ran through each of the hair collections.”
The collections included: ‘Androgynous’ ‘Feminist’ ‘Surrealist Braids’ ‘Resistance / Protest Braids’ and ‘Indigenous Braids’
