Wolf Man (1980)
Artist: Trevor Sorbie Team
Originally created by Trevor Sorbie
Created at the height of the punk movement, Wolf Man challenged the conventions of hairdressing at a time when precision cutting and polished finishes dominated the industry.
Inspired by the energy and rebellion of youth culture, Trevor looked to the streets rather than the salon for creative direction. Deliberately breaking many of the accepted rules of the day, he used razors, texture and unconventional colour placement to create a look that felt raw, expressive and entirely different from what had come before.
The result was Wolf Man, one of Trevor’s most iconic creations and a defining hairstyle of the era. First presented at the World Hairdressing Congress at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the look demonstrated Trevor’s ability to transform cultural movements into groundbreaking hairdressing.
