Trevor Sorbie is looking for a passionate and creative Marketing & Communications Assistant who will play an essential part in supporting the marketing strategy of the brand. Reporting directly into the Communications Manager, the assistant will be responsible for implementing marketing plans, overseeing social channels, creating assets, plus identifying trends and opportunities for growth.

A highly creative role with an opportunity for growth, the ideal candidate would be artistic, approachable and hard-working with a skill for multi-tasking and must have at least 2 years’ experience with brand side marketing.

The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Help support Trevor Sorbie’s short and long-term marketing strategy by planning, collating and delivery of Marketing campaigns
  • Creating and developing marketing collateral for print and digital
  • Content management of social media platforms and company websites
  • Creative copywriting for marketing channels, press releases, blog posts & more
  • Handling PR appointments and liaising with press / influencers
  • Email building and scheduling
  • Collaborating with internal team, stylists and salon managers for content & quotes
  • Digital marketing/SEO/SEM optimisations
  • Liaising with suppliers & partners – printers, web developers, designers
  • Local marketing support for individual regions
  • Support with photo shoots and content creation days
  • Organising market research / customer surveys
  • Industry research and competitor analysis
  • Running reports and building presentations for board meetings

Marketing Assistant qualifications and skills requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience working in marketing or related field for a consumer brand
  • Pro-active, highly motivated and detail oriented with a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Social media management skills
  • Ability to work as a team but also work autonomously
  • Creative experience desirable – Adobe software, photography, design, creative writing
